Included with the camp, along with surfing, campers participate in beach activities. The surf instructors hold surf competitions on Friday’s offering pizza and soft drinks during awards ceremony where campers are awarded certificates. Campers are taught environmental education and ocean safety courses. There will also be a field trip to a surfboard factory! Lessons taught in our fun, safe, surf camp can and will be applied in and around the water. These foundations promote safe surfing for the future.
All equipment included: loaner soft top surf boards, a certificate of completion, and T-shirt from San Diego Surf Lessons.
We do not over crowd our classes!
We offer 1 trained, qualified, surf instructor to 4 campers.
All surf instructors are CPR/Red Cross certified. The certifications we require of our surf instructors are as follow:
A current American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification
Current CPR/First Aid Certification
Five years personal surfing experience
Must be able to demonstrate good surfing skills on a soft top board
Be 19 years of age
Good communication skills
